The UNSW Australia School of
Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications
is seeking high quality
students to conduct research leading to degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in
the area of “Enhancing Internet of Everything Content Acquisition,
Distribution, and Security Using Software Defined Networking” as part of
Australian Research Council Linkage Project LP150100666 with industrial partner
Cisco Systems Australia Pty Ltd.

The scholarship
covers tuition fees and provides a tax-free stipend of AU$26,288 p.a. over 3.5
years. Several types of scholarship are available, including Australian
Postgraduate Award (APA) scholarships which are open to Australian citizens or
permanent residents, and International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS)
and Tuition Fee Scholarship (TFS) which are open to international applicants.

Elite students who
hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Science in electrical engineering,
telecommunications or computer science (must be equivalent of an Australian 1st
class Honours degree or 85% grade average) and demonstrated aptitude for
research may be competitive for these PhD scholarships. Complete the

. It is essential that you have a deep understanding of network protocols and
algorithm design and analysis. It is desirable that you have a knowledge of or
interest in: machine learning, optimisation, Content Distribution Networks /
Content delivery networks (CDNs), and the Internet of Things (IoT).

must start their PhD studies in Sydney Australia by 27 February 2017.
