Are you passionate about environmental conservation? Do you believe in
protecting BC’s endangered old-growt
h forests while ensuring a sustainable,
second-growth forest industry to support forestry communities?
Right now the Ancient Forest Alliance is hiring canvassers to help raise funds
and major public awareness.
Our team is a group of environmentally and socially-conscious people who often
provide the first real introduction for members of the public about the
old-growth forests that we work to protect. Since this direct conversation is
so key to growing the movement, we seek applicants who are passionate and
engaged. Joining our team is a great way to meet other
environmentally-conscious people.
We have two teams, a street team and a door-to-door team. The street team signs
up members, collects petition signatures, and engages with people in public
areas throughout the city, Tuesday-Saturday afternoons. We meet
up at 11 am and canvass until 4pm.
The door-to-door canvass team typically goes
out Monday to Thursday evenings. We meet at 5
pm and canvass from 6 until 9pm.
There is a minimum two shift per week commitment.
