The Role:
This role is supporting a Partner and a Lawyer in a friendly close-knit,
sociable team who love what they do. It’s a varied and busy role,
requiring a high degree of attention to detail and excellent prioritising
skills. Some of the duties include:
- Carrying
out online Trade Mark searches. - Preparing
and lodging Trade Mark applications for local and overseas matters. - Putting
together other Trade Mark documentation including time extensions, application
amendments and responses to Examiners’ Reports. - Typing
and preparing letters and other correspondence via both precedents and
dicta-typing. - Entering
and updating information into the speciailist IP database. - Liaising
with Agents, Clients, IP Australia etc.
To
be suited to this role you will be an experienced Legal Secretary and you will
also have either Trade Mark/IP experience or an interest in this area of
law. You’ll have a sharp eye for detail and be used to working in a role
where there are important deadlines to be met, as well as enjoying being part
of a small, close-knit team.
