Position: Farm Production Manager

the establishment of sustainable local food systems.

We currently produce a variety of vegetables, micro greens, greens, fruit and
poultry in the fields and greenhouses of our 50 acre farm for our CSA, Farmers’
Markets and local wholesale customers.

The work schedule is 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday
with workdays generally lasting from 7 am to 5 pm with a 2-hour lunch period.

Applicants
• Have 2 years experience working/interning on a CSA farm
• Are physically fit and capable of the manual labor inherent to farming
• Are able to use basic farm equipment
• Are business savvy
• Are bilingual in French and English
• Have excellent customer service and communication skills
• Demonstrate detailed observation and strong problem solving skills
• Have a valid driver’s license and mobile phone (texting, invoicing, phone)
• Are comfortable with diversity in religious/spiritual beliefs, sexual
orientations and identity, cultural origins and expressions.
• Able to accept constructive criticism and open to experiential learning

• Rotational pasturing of chickens

• Using soil amendments
• Harvesting
• Harvesting for peak quality
• Calculating harvest needs

• Handling and storage of produce to maintain freshness and quality
• Assembling weekly CSA baskets

This is an open-ended contract starting in June 2016 ending November 2016, with
a possibility to extend into winter and beyond, to replace current manager
during maternity leave. There is a 1-month probation period to make sure we are
a good fit. The contract begins with a 2-week intensive training with current
manager and owner. On-farm housing possible.
