Duties: The successful applicant will
report to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Finance and Administration and will be
expected to plan, organize and coordinate the University’s financial services
function to ensure the accurate and timely maintenance and preparation of
budgets , accounts and financial reports and adherence to established
ac

counting systems , procedures and standards.

Requirements

Applicants should have: (i) a Degree in Accounting or
related subject area; (ii) a professional accountancy qualification such as
ACCA, CA and CIMA and membership of an internationally recognized professional
accountancy body. A relevant post graduate academic qualification would be an
added advantage; (iii) At least seven (7) years post qualification accountancy
experience at a supervisory/managerial level in a large computerized financial
management environment; excellent knowledge and experience in computerized
accounting system is essential.

Competencies: (i) excellent analytical,
interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; (ii) an innovative and
pro-active approach and (iii) strong computer skills.
