The
Private Sector Driven Agricultural Growth (PSDAG) project is a five-year Feed
the Future project funded by USAID implemented by IRG (International Resource
Group). The goal of the project is to increase smallholder incomes by promoting
private sector investment

. The PSDAG project has two objectives namely: a)to
assist the Government of Rwanda (GoR) to increase private sector investment,
and b) to facilitate increased private sector investment by Upgrading
Agricultural Value Chains.

PSDAG
project is recruiting international consultant to provide service in developing
gender and social inclusion curriculum to be used in strengthening project’s
partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries with the aim of allowing them to put
in place robust strategies that help them to mitigate challenges related to
gender and social inclusion issues in particular for women, youth and PWDs. He
or she will be requested to train the local service provider who will be
selected for implementing the developed curriculum. 
The
expected consultant will be required to meet the following minimum
requirements:
  • At
    least five (5) years of knowledge and proven experience conducting social
    inclusion promotion tasks, gender mainstreaming within development
    programmes, women empowerment, youth, and/or PWD constraint analysis. A
    Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience
    analysing gender/youth/PWD population in Africa and in agriculture
    required in particular in agricultural value chains approach.
  • Prior
    experience in development training materials including facilitation skills,
    adult learning and participatory approaches.
  • Familiarity
    with operational and M&E plans, USAID policies, strategies, project
    work planning and management preferred. Prior experience with USAID
    projects a plus.
    • Fluency
      in English is required. Knowledge of French is a plus.
    • Excellent
      written and verbal communication skills required.
