The
NGO Council seeks to engage a qualified and motivated person to lead its
Secretariat and ensure effective delivery on its mandate.

Private Sector and NGO representatives, which coordinates implementation of the
NGO Policy with particular reference to the improvement of dialogue and

NGO Policy and the effective performance of the statutory roles by the NGO
Council. The NGO Council Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring
effective communication and external relations as well as sound operational and
financial management of the NGO Council Secretariat.
Requirements
Qualifications
and Experience
and Experience
- University
degree in social sciences and/or other socio-economic development related
field. - At
least 5 years experience working in the NGO sector and/or related sectors
on socio-economic development issues, with at least 3 years experience in
a leadership and/or advisory role or senior level management position in
the NGO Sector. - Demonstrable
experience in public policy, advocacy and lobbying. - Demonstrable
knowledge on civil society, policy and development issues in Botswana. - Excellent
knowledge of Microsoft office, internet-based communication.

Conditions
The
candidate will be offered an initial contract of 18 months, renewable based on
performance.
SALARY: P325 188 – P338 316 per annum
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum
