M&E Coordinator
Education Development Center, Inc (EDC) is recruiting
a Monit

oring &Evaluation Coordinator for the Akazi Kanoze, a youth
livelihoods Project funded by USAID. Akazi Kanoze provides over 18,000 youth,
ages 14-35, with market-relevant life and work readiness training and support,
hands-on training opportunities, and links into the employment and
self-employment job market. The project started in 2009 and will close in June
2016. This position runs from August 2015 until the end of the project (June
2016).

The M&E Coordinator will work under the Deputy
Chief of Party to undertake tasks related to monitoring and evaluation of the
project. S/he will ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection and
management as well as reporting of results for project indicators, against the
agreed targets and methods for collecting information on project activities.
This position is located in Kigali/Rwanda.
Essential functions are:
•Contribute to ongoing updates of the monitoring
systems and reporting schedule;
•Collect both qualitative and quantitative data for
indicators to track implementation;
• Undertake field visits on M&E activities and
ensure documentation of project results in accordance with USAID and project’s
strategic objectives and indicators;
• Identify, document and disseminate lessons learned
and success stories;
• Guide technical staff from partner organizations to
prepare their progress reports and ensure their timely submission.
• Provide data quality control/assurance and best
practices on data
• Provide data quality control/assurance and best

•Assist in preparing consolidated project progress
reports
• Any other activity as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in statistics or a management
related field with strong computer skills and understanding of statistical
analysis software such as Excel or/and SPSS
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• A minimum of one year experience in M&E,
preferably working on a USAID project;
• Graduates of the Akazi  Kanoze Work Readiness
