African Community (EAC) that share the Lake Victoria Basin (LVB)-Rwanda,
Burundi, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
The
project development objectives are: (i) Improvement of the collaborative
management of the trans-boundary natural resources of the Lake Victoria Basin
(LVB) among the Partner States; and (ii) Improvement of the environmental
management of targeted pollution hotspots and selected degraded sub-catchments
for the benefits of communities who depend on the natural resources of LVB.

In
Rwanda, the LVB’is defined by the extent of the Akagera River catchment and
covers an area of 21, 362 Km, or 11% of the total area of the LVB. Rwanda is,
therefore, a key upstream riparian country with respect to the sustainable
management of the LVB natural resources.

The
Project, which is being implemented under the Rwanda Environment Management
Authority (REMA), is working to improve the environmental management of
selected degraded sub-catchments for the benefits of communities who depend on
the natural resources of the LVB.

Rulindo, Huye, Muhanga, Ngororero, Nyamagabe, Kamonyi, Rwamagana, Ngoma,
Karongi, Musanze and Bugesera.

expression of interest is addressed to all Individual Consultants with
sufficient experience in filming and video documentary production. The selected

being carried under LVEMP II as well as the best practices, success stories and

community level that the Project’s interventions are having within targeted

- Possess
a Bachelor’s Degree (A0) in journalism, Communication, Media Studies or
related field; - Demonstrate
high level of competency and experience (5 years) in documentary
production, particularly on issues related to environment protection and
community development. (At least two similar high-quality products on
CDs); - Have
excellent technical capacities to ensure smooth and high quality
production (video production staff; high quality video equipment,
preferably High Definition) with proof of ownership of equipment; - Additional
experience in development or environmental communication will be an added
advantage.
