About the role:
This part-time position is situated within
MacKillop Education Team and based in Warrnambool and will include developing,
actioning and monitoring education plans for selected children and young people
managed by MacKillop Out of Home Care Warrnambool

with particular emphasis on,
but not limited to, those in residential care.
The plans will be developed in consultation with
the children, young people and significant others, based on an assessment of
education attainment and social and emotional issues.

The position reports to the General Manager /
Principal, however the Out of Home Care Manager will oversee the daily duties
in relation to the role.

To be successful in the role you will have:
• Relevant work experience and a minimum
Diploma Qualification;
• A proven record of teaching and learning skills, and the capacity to
make a contribution to curriculum programs and policy;
• Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, as well
as interpersonal skills including the capacity to develop constructive
relationships with students, care givers, community service providers and other
staff;
• Demonstrated ability and experience in understanding the unique nature
of providing high quality educational experiences to young people with multiple
and complex needs, including those marginalised from school and society through
trauma, abuse and neglect.
