Fleet Management Officer

Monitoring and coordinating the
servicing, maintenance and associated records of the fleet vehicles in liaison
with the registered vehicle supplier/service supplier, MRT, CIT, K9, other
Administration Sections and Business Unit Operations Managers (BOM’s) to ensure
that service delivery meets requirements and does not disrupt Business Unit
operations, Providing a Fleet Fuelling Service and maintaining fuelling records
per vehicle, Supporting and mon

itoring the Fleet Fuelling Officers (FFO),
providing them with clear areas of responsibility within the Dept and
collecting daily Field Fuelling Reports, Liaising with Business Unit Operations
Managers (BOM) to monitor the Business Unit Fleet requirements and vehicle
availability to ensure that the Business Unit has sufficient resources to cover
its contractual obligations, Maintaining close contact/liaison with existing
and potential vehicle, vehicle parts and vehicle maintenance suppliers,
Identifying, liaising with, registering and maintaining relationships with
suitable vehicle maintenance workshops for the repair and maintenance of the KK
Fleet, Providing a point of contact for coordination with insurers and vehicle
providers with regards to accident reporting and claims for damages that may
have been caused, Maintaining a vehicle lease/rental schedule and formulating a
replacement schedule for vehicles that are coming to the end of their lease/rental
or are company owned and over age (according to prevailing policy on
replacement of owned vehicles), Advising the Central Services Manager
(Operations) of Fleet costs (fuel, parts, maintenance etc) and vehicle
suitability and performance to assist with identifying replacement vehicles as
and when required by the replacement schedule

Skills – computer literate, Financial acumen,
Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders desirable, Good presentation skills,
Good organisation skills, proven people management skills

Technical Education – At least a Diploma in Logistics or its
equivalent Experience
– Minimum of 3 yrs post qualification in logistics/transport management, A
hands-on person in logistics in a busy transport/logistics and/or security
industry
