An accounting practice based in one of Brisbane’s
northern suburbs is currently seeking to recruit an accountant with experience
in self-managed superannuation funds and tax compliance.

transport/shops/cafes - Onsite parking available – if you live on the
northside and want to work close to home, this role could be ideal - Flexible working hours – this is a full-time role
but flexibility on start/finish times is possible - Work mix comprising approximately 70% SMSF and
30% tax - Advise an established SMSF client base – you will
also play a key role in the continued growth of the SMSF side of the
firm’s business - A very competitive salary commensurate with your
skills and experience
The firm
This well established firm is not a typical suburban
practice in that, although it advises small companies and ‘mums and dads’ type
clients, it also provides a range of accounting services to larger, more
sophisticated entities and public companies. The firm also advises on
self-managed superannuation fund matters and has a well-established SMSF client
base. This is an area of the practice for which the firm has definite growth
plans.

The role
Your core responsibilities in this position will be to
provide both SMSF and business services/tax advice to the firm’s clients.
Client contact will be an integral part of your role and you will have the
opportunity to develop new and existing client relationships.

You
In order to be suitable, you will:
- possess solid experience gained in a public
practice accounting firm, in both SMSF and tax - be CA/CPA qualified, or be currently working
towards qualification - have excellent communication skills and the
ability to interact effectively with clients - possess a pro-active attitude and approach, and a
keen interest in assisting with the growth of the firm’s SMSF client base
and capabilities
