 Maintenance Supervisor

Your new organisation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer
– Maintenance Supervisor bursting with drive and enthusiasm.  Their

ingredients to the manufacturing industry.
As the Maintenance Supervisor your primary focus will
see you responsible for the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team. You
will ensure that all maintenance is planned and scheduled in the most efficient
way, taking into account safety, labour employed, cost and plant downtime.
In this role you will report to the Maintenance
Manager and you will have 7 direct reports; 3 Fitters, 3 Electricians and a
casual Laborer, plus Contractors.
Your responsibilities will inclu

to:

  • Coordinating day-to-day maintenance activities to
    minimise plant downtime.
  • Actively driving safety on site and ensuring all
    maintenance performed is conducted in a safe way and compliant with
    environmental requirements.
  • The day-to-day management and supervision of
    Fitters, Electricians and maintenance Contractors.
  • Leading the maintenance Teams, ensuring resources
    are used efficiently.
  • Ensuring all maintenance tasks issued are created
    in SAP and all relevant information regarding the work and parts is
    entered into SAP on work order completion.
  • Troubleshooting problems and arranging for
    equipment to be repaired or serviced by appropriate maintenance staff.
  • Directing Tradespeople to complete maintenance
    activities in minimum timeframes to maximise plant availability.
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
  • Degree in mechanical engineering or
    manufacturing-related discipline.
  • Solid background and proven track record in
    maintenance and/or engineering, preferably in food or chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of SAP processes such as maintenance
    order generation and completion.
  • High standard of both written and verbal
    communication.
  • Experience and or qualifications in Lean/Six
    Sigma would be seen as an advantage.
