Stuart Alexander is a leading importer and distributor of a diverse range of
premium household consumer brands including Mentos, Guylian, Werthers,
Fisherman’s Friend, Tabasco and Chupa Chups.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time experienced
‘Logistics Admin Assistant’, to join our experienced Supply Chain Team in
Ultimo.
The Role
The position will have you providing support and assistance to both the Senior
Purchasing Manager and Logistics Executive through achievement of principal
accountabilities: –
• Prepare and maintain purchasing orders
• Facilitate collection of goods (freight forwarder; timing of shipment)
• Monitor the delivery of orders
• Monitor and generate purchasing reports, and forecasts as required
• Shipping documents checked and despatched
• Approval of Freight Forwarder invoices
• Ad hoc duties as required
The Person
We seek an individual, who has experience and knowledge of purchasing both
imported and national. Furthermore the successful applicant will have a
proactive approach, strong analytical and communication skills, and have the
ability to work within tight timeframes in a team environment.
The applicant will also: –
• Have knowledge of business information systems
• Is highly computer literate, with intermediate skills in Excel, Word, &
Outlook
• Is an experienced communicator – verbal, written, and interpersonal
• Have good attention to detail and analysis skills
• Have the ability to solve problems
• Is responsible and takes accountability for their work
• Be confident in generating improvement in systems and practices
• FMCG industry background favourable
