We are looking for a marketing and events organiser
to start immediately for a 5 month contract with the potential to extend for

As an integral leader of the marketing and events
team you will be responsible for:

– Delivering a successful calendar of landmark
events throughout the 2014 Melbourne International Design Week, managing all
aspects from venue liaison, logistics, catering, speakers, risk and OH&S
compliance, marketing collateral, lighting/AV and all suppliers

– Identifying resources, creating strategic project
plans, timelines and milestones ensuring timely delivery of all projects

– Preparing and managing budgets for a range of
projects and campaigns and sourcing quotes and negotiating costs with suppliers

– Managing relationships with key internal and

– Managing a diverse program speaker list including
invitations, travel, accommodation, promotional material and all written and

– Overseeing event production, bump in/out runsheet

The ideal applicant will have:
– More than 5 years experience in successfully
managing small and large scale events

– A solid understanding of marketing and sales
objectives and the ability to develop partnerships and programs in line with

– An ability to work autonomously within tight
timelines and on multiple projects simultaneously, at the same time manage a
