About Kepler
Kepler is a new venture designed to educate students for competitive careers in
Rwanda’s information economy. A project of successful NGO, Generation Rwanda,
Kepler’s pilot program in Kigali, Rwanda will pair online courses with
in-person facilitation designed for the needs of students entering the global
knowledge economy.
Position Overview
The Director of Blended Learning is the on-the-ground leader whose primary role
in the pilot year is to translate Generation Rwanda’s vision of reinventing
higher education in the developing world into a high functioning blended
learning academic program.
Position Details and
Qualifications
This is a full-time, paid position located in Kigali. The net salary is
1,000,000 RWF per month and health insurance is provided.
Candidates must meet the
following criteria:
• Possess a Master’s Degree, PhD, or the equivalent professional degree
• Be fully fluent in English with a minimum TOEFL of 104 or be a native English
speaker with a portfolio of professional, error-free writing.
• Have a minimum of 4 years as the head of a school or university that uses
blended learning technology and a flipped classroom model as its primary method
for instructional delivery. Preference given to leaders that have not only led,
but founded a school or accredited educational organization.
• The school or university the candidate led produced superior academic results
as documented by quantifiable, statistically verifiable data.
• Recognized by third parties as an expert in blended learning instruction.
Preference given to candidates that can show awards or commendations for their
work in this field.
• As the leader of an executive management team, have regularly directly
supervised and evaluated staff of at least 20, managed and created budgets, and
overseen government compliance documentation
