Ministry of Health Coordinator and Field Staff Jobs Vacancies in Rwanda

The Ministry of Health would like to recruit competent staff in the following
positions:

Term of reference

1. Recruitment of one coordinator

A. Responsibilities of the coordinator
a) Oversee day to day management of all components of the evaluation of HPV
prevalence
b) Ensure that the project meets all required milestones and targets
c) Provide regular updates and reports of project progress to the Ministry of
Health, MCH and IARC
d) Follow pre-determined timelines for data collection, analysis and reporting
of high quality data
e) Ensure all field staff are properly trained and supervised
f) Oversee data entry and perform quality checks of the data
g) Perform sentinel site visits as necessary to ensure that surveillance is
being conducted according to protocol
h) Provide direct supervision to members of the technical team and organize
monthly and quarterly sentinel site meetings

B. Qualification of the coordinator of the study
The Coordinator must have the following qualifications:
• A bachelor degree in public health, health sciences, social sciences,
demography or other relevant discipline;
• Minimum 4 years working in a research institution.
• Excellent qualitative research and analytical skills, supported by evidence
from past professional work;
• Good quantitative skills, with demonstrated ability to work in excel;
• Excellent communication skills and counselling;
• Good command of English (spoken and written), French and Kinyarwanda;
• Good understanding of project management;
• Willingness and ability to travel upcountry for field work

2. Two Field Staff

a. Responsibilities of field staff.
• Ensure that recruitment of eligible women, consent, data collection, and
laboratory testing at surveillance sites is performed following the standard
operating procedures.
• Perform quality checks of data
• Regularly visit surveillance sites to review data and protocols with site
staff
• Provide retraining of staff as necessary
• Ensure timely reporting of site data to the national coordinator
• Regularly meet with national coordinator and technical team members to
discuss project progress
• Prepare regular updates and reports
• Support implementation and monitoring of the data management aspects of the
project
• Designing and developing data collection and analysis tools and guidelines
• Customizing and troubleshooting data management modules
• Data cleaning, analysis and reporting
• Prepare regular updates and reports

b. Qualification of the field staff of the study
The field must have the following qualifications:
c. A bachelor degree in public health or nurses, health sciences, social
sciences, demography or other relevant discipline;
d. Minimum 3 years working in a health institution or health facility.
e. Excellent qualitative research and analytical skills, supported by evidence
from past professional work;
f. Good quantitative skills, with demonstrated ability to work in excel;
g. Excellent communication skills and counselling;
h. Good command of English (spoken and written), French and Kinyarwanda;
i. Good understanding of project management;
j. Willingness and ability to travel upcountry for field work;
