Qualitative Data Specialist:
A qualitative data specialist to sought informal discussions with government officials regarding a recently conducted campaign. This person will not conduct formal interviews, but instead facilitate a series of informal discussions with officials involved with the campaign.
The selection criteria are:
• Professional experience conducting qualitative interviews, including experience taking detailed notes quickly and accurately during interviews.
• Professional experience and personal comfort speaking with senior government officials, and/or others in positions of authority.
• Experience managing sensitive data and maintaining appropriate data security procedures, including keeping records and notes in a secure location, and maintaining confidentiality of data content.
• Computer literacy and ability to provide written notes in a typed format.
• Proven ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, to manage projects efficiently, and complete work within tight timetables and under deadlines.
• Completion of a university degree, preferably in a social science, or experience applying social science methods.
• Fluent in written Kinyarwanda, French, and English.
• Ability to work on-site in Kigali, and in districts outside of Kigali, if necessary.
• Availability to work on a flexible schedule during the two-month data entry period, which may be full time (tentatively scheduled for September to November, 2012), until data entry is complete.
