•Establish & Maintain Client Relationships
•Document and Apply Best Practices
•Define Technical Infrastructure
•Evaluate Sizing & Performance of Cognos TM1 Solutions
•TM1 Installation & Configuration
PLUS
•Experience with full Software Development life cycles of TM1 from design to implementation.
•A highly analytical brain and possess strong problem solving skills.
•Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
•Knowledge of finance and accounting as practiced in larger companies and government organisations
•Relevant academic qualifications
COGNOS CONSULTANTS WITH THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE
Required skills and tools:
•Proven Cognos development experience
•Cognos Skills: Transformer, Framework Manager, Cognos Configuration, Cognos Connection, Report Studio
•Analysis Studio and Query Studio
•MS SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008
•OLAP reporting building
•SQL cube creation and maintenance
Responsibilities:
•Analyse, capture and document reporting requirements
•Convert reporting requirements into data presentation through the Cognos suite of products
•Develop reports and/or queries as required, utilising either report, analysis or query studio
•Provide extensive training, in the Cognos suite, to empower end users to manage their own report generation
•Oversee the maintenance of the BI solution to ensure reliability, integrity, performance and currency of the application
•Work with the Progress development team to ensure the Progress warehouse is functioning in an optimal capacity
