Job Title: Brewing Technician, Benin
Level: L7 (G5)
Reports To: Shift Brewer

Purpose of Role:
To ferment and mature all AOP beer volumes and ensure continuous supply of high quality beers and good team spirit.

Top Accountabilities:
1. Manage the effective feeding of fresh yeast cultures in accordance with laid down company procedure.
2. Monitor and control fermentation process/performance.
3. Carry out process vessels beer mains CIP and ensure an infection index of <10%.
4. Carry out gulen beer centrifugations/yeast separation.
5. Control cost of operation by minimising process waste while ensuring good house keeping/hygiene at all times.

Context/Scope:
The Process area is the central processing point in the brewing of beer, covering yeast management, wort fermentation, beer centrifugation/yeast separation and beer maturation. The process operator carries out all these processes and reports to the Shift Brewer.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
National Diploma (OND) in Biological or Chemical Science or Food Technology.
2 to 5 years work experience in food industry would be added advantage.

Dimensions:

Financial
The financial scope of the role includes the fermentation of wort and the maturation of beer ready for filtration.

Market Complexity
Liaises with brewhouse, filter room and utility staff as well as brewery logistics supervisor to ensure the continuous supply of filterable

Barriers to Success in Role:
Inability to influence colleagues and associates.
