Are you an experienced Recreation Therapist looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a hospital setting? The Recreation Therapist at Bridgepoint is responsible for the direct provision of recreation therapy services to patients, as well as assisting in program planning, implementation, and evaluation on an on-going basis.
You will use your strong assessment skills, and will work collaboratively with the interprofessional team to design individual and small group therapeutic recreation as part of the integrated care plan. On a larger scale, you will participate in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and promotion of hospital-wide recreation programs.
Qualifications:
* A University degree in Recreation Therapy, or a University degree in a related field with a postgraduate diploma in the field of Recreation is required.
* At least one year previous work experience in a Recreation Therapy setting, preferably in a hospital environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong computer skills are an asset.
This position requires flexibility to support patient programs including, but not limited to, working weekends and hours outside of the regular shift.
