Punkvism CEO Hyunki Hwang Joins Ronaldinho’s Legendary Team in Poland as Guest Player Wearing No. 39 Jersey

Hyunki Hwang, CEO of Punkvism and key figure behind global RWA and NFT projects including Punky Kongz, made a surprise appearance at the football legends match held in Poland on the 21st (local time).

He was listed as a guest player for “Team Ronaldinho,” which faced off against a Polish legends squad at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, Poland—known as the “Witch’s Cauldron.”

Donning jersey number 39, Hwang was officially registered on the match roster and joined the team on the pitch. Although he didn’t play during the match, his participation in warm-ups and presence on the bench with Brazilian football legends drew notable attention as a rare moment of a Korean entrepreneur sharing the stage with global sports icons.

As part of the “Ronaldinho Show Tour,” the event featured freestyle football performances, live music, and a full house of over 54,000 fans. The exhibition rekindled nostalgia for football’s golden era by bringing together numerous legendary players.

“Team Ronaldinho” included stars such as Ronaldinho himself—a key member of Brazil’s 2002 World Cup-winning team—along with Edmílson, Anderson Polga, Roberto Assis (Ronaldinho’s brother), Paraguayan great Carlos Gamarra, Maicon, and André Santos. Poland fielded legends like Jakub Błaszczykowski, Artur Boruc, and Marcin Wasilewski.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with Poland’s legends claiming a 4-2 victory in the penalty shootout.

Hwang’s participation was made possible through Punkvism’s business partnership with “Pagglo,” a Brazilian RWA project in football. A former footballer who studied in Brazil, Hwang leveraged this connection to take part in the event.

After the match, Hwang shared, “It was an honor to stand alongside legendary players. I hope to see more large-scale events facilitated through RWA. We’ll continue working with Brazilian footballers to expand Punkvism’s global reach.”

Punkvism, which is currently preparing for global exchange listings, presented this event as a powerful demonstration of how blockchain technology can synergize with the global sports industry. Hwang’s participation highlights the borderless, cross-sector growth trajectory of RWA-powered innovations.

Ronaldinho, who played 97 times for Brazil and won the 2002 World Cup, is a two-time FIFA World Player of the Year and Golden Ball recipient. Since retiring in 2018, he continues to serve as a global ambassador for the sport, embodying its living legacy.
