Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, bore a boy, Prince Harry and she announced on Monday in their Instagram account.
“We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz,” it said.
“The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days.”
The baby is going to be the seventh grandchild for Queen Elizabeth II of Britain.
He will also be seventh behind Prince Charles, Prince William and his three kids and Prince Harry in line with the British throne.
But no prince’s title will be given to the child, and instead he will be known as Dumbarton’s Earl.
In a star-studded ceremony at Windsor Castle last May, Harry and Meghan married and announced that they were expecting a baby in October. That news came as they hit Australia as a married couple for their first overseas tour.
