PCB reverse engineering

Many new customers often ask me after sending two pictures. How much does it cost to reverse engineer my PCB? Then ask me how much it costs to make the same 3 pieces and 5 pieces? A problem like this seems to indicate that I have not experienced PCB cloning before.

If you are interested in a project. The original product had a high selling price but appeared to have a cheap cost. This project may be worth investing in or pursuing secondary development. You will seize most of the market sales of this product. So how should you start?

I can clearly tell some new friends here. For friends who have never worked on PCB copying projects before, there are many pitfalls in electronic product cloning. If you have no experience before, you will definitely have some losses! There are two important things to remember: First, some individual component model numbers on your original product PCB board have been polished or silk screened with fake model numbers. This will require some time for continuous replacement testing in the development of your new samples to determine these unknown components; Secondly, unlocking the microcontroller on the original PCB board is difficult or decryption is unsuccessful. You will lose a set of original products in this way. Because if the microcontroller is damaged, your product will no longer work!

What tasks do customers need to do first?

1. Purchase 1 set of original product; After completing PCB reverse engineering, it will be damaged.

2. Please carefully check if there is an MCU on the PCB board. If you have an MCU, please send the model to a professional IC unlock company to check if it supports cracking and the price of IC unlocking. This step is crucial. Many new friends have overlooked this step and purposefully started PCB reverse engineering. And when preparing to make a new sample, it was discovered that there was a MCU. And it’s difficult to unlock. In this case, you will lose one set of the original product and the cost of PCB reverse engineering. If you have the experience to understand such a process. You won’t have any losses!

3. Unlock the MCU on the PCB board for SZOROD professional engineers. After unlocking is completed. Please solder the new MCU sample back onto your original PCB board for functional testing. Compare with the original software in detail to see if there are any defects? When no abnormalities are found after testing, it proves that the chip decryption is successful;

4. Start reverse engineering of PCB boards;

5. Production of new samples;

6. Mass production;

 If you have a new PCB and IC reverse engineering project that you want to do. You can contact us promptly at SZOROD. With 20 years of experience, we provide you with safe, fast, and professional services!
