Nigeria’s Ponzi scheme lovers jubilate as MMM returns

Over a year after the popular Ponzi scheme, Mavrodi Mundial Moneybox (MMM) crashed in Nigeria, shattering the hope of over three million Nigerians the Ponzi scheme returns.

The system is now labeled MMM cooperation and it promises up to 50% return on any amount invested in it. This is 20 percent more than the prior version provided.

Like the past variant, MMM participants are to register, invest a specific quantity after 30 days in the form of “providing help” and “getting help” with their donations and interest back.

On its site, the administration wrote ;

“In honour of our beloved founder, Sergey Mavrodi of blessed memory; we awoke his legacy by starting the operation of MMM Cooperation on Jan 22nd,2019.

“This is after 5months thorough examination of the old system in order to make his legacy worthwhile. Like sunrise in the morning, MMM Cooperation set the pace on the 22nd of January 2019 all over the world.

From negligence by many to fear of unknown by prospective participants at the beginning; we are were prospective participants at the beginning; we are today being most populous platform all over the world with 6MILLION participants all in space of 4months”

One of the scheme’s coordinators, the twitter address @teeguider, announced the scheme’s arrival and provided a connection for a WhatsApp group for interested individuals

After what occurred previously with the same MMM and even with the fresh Loom Ponzi’s slow and expected death, Nigerians will believe they’ve learned, but they’re still falling for it.

Mr Mavrodi, an ex-convict, died on March 26 of a heart attack.

The system, which collapsed in many nations including Nigeria in 2016, has been a topic of global debate.

Mr. Mavrodi introduced his controversial scheme in 2011 and in December 2016 collapsed in Nigeria, with millions of Naira of participants trapped in the system.

While the system announced a comeback in 2017, before the renewed enthusiasm among its participants fizzled out, it could not start operation.
