Guru Maharaji asks Buhari to appoint him special adviser to oversee petroleum, other ministries

Sat Guru Maharaj ji, founder of the One Love Family, called on President Muhammed Buhari on Tuesday to appoint him as his ‘ spiritual adviser. ‘

He said this became essential due to the failure of other religious organizations and their rulers.

During a press conference, Maharaj Ji presented the request to mark the 26th anniversary of the Declaration of Nigeria as the new Holy Land of the Universe.

He said he expected the president to appoint him to oversee the water, agriculture, and oil and gas ministries in the second term of Mr Buhari.

The contentious cleric spoke on other issues as well as his petition for appointment.

He said the federal government needed to raise salaries and enhance the country’s judges ‘ welfare to halt the temptation to receive bribes directly or through agents. He also called for state police to be created, stating it would help enhance the country’s safety condition.

The cleric recommended the federal government to disclose the names of those engaged in the mismanagement of funds from some privatized Nigerian businesses, including Nigerian Airways, Ajaokuta Steel, Delta Steel, Nigeria Electric Power Authority, among others.

He called for the creation of the Ministry of Culture and Tradition and the establishment of a ‘ social security system to give all unemployed high school graduates the sum of N6,000, National Diploma holders the sum of N8,000, Higher National Diploma and Degree the sum of N15,000 monthly. ‘
