He’s the man of the hour in so many ways, and yet how much do we really know about the real Trump? Whether it’s movie cameos, The Apprentice, or the Oval Office, he’s been something of an enigma for as long as we can remember. To show you what the man behind the haircut is all about, we’re going to take a look at 8 interesting facts no one else has told you about President Trump. Let’s dive right in and get to know the guy!
Trump hates one part of the pizza
A famous junk food lover, it would be easy to assume that Trump will eat anything and everything that’s on the menu. A famous pizza commercial back in 1995 for Pizza Hut told us that while Trump loves the base and the topping, he’s always keen to steer well clear of the crust because it’s just not to his taste. Granted, this was in the days before loaded crusts and stuffed crusts, so we’d be interested to hear what he thinks today!
Trump avoids non-chain restaurants
He’s a secret germaphobe who, despite his love of junk food, is keen to take good care of his health. Just like he has never smoked, taken drugs, or had even a sip of alcohol, he avoids non-chains because he’s worried about food poisoning. To be fair to the guy, he is pushing 80 years of age and is still working harder than most 20-year-old men and women out there. He certainly seems to be doing something right!
Trump doesn’t like shaking hands
Despite the jibes from Rubio about the size of his hands, this has got nothing to do with it! What Trump has been repeatedly vocal about in the past is that he’s worried about catching germs, something that would sap his famous energy levels and slow him right down. You can go back to clips of him on talkshows in the 1980s and you’ll hear him talking about hand sanitizer and hospital-grade cleaning at home — two things that most of us only became aware of during the COVID era!
Trump loves the Palace of Versailles
Take one look at Trump Tower in New York, or his sprawling estate down in Florida, and you will see no shortage of renaissance era French features. His love of regal decor and exquisite furnishings is something that has come about from a life of luxury. He’s a flamboyant, extroverted character who really does like the spotlight so he can show off. Is it any wonder that he lives surrounded by gold?
Trump owns 18 golf courses
With a reported handicap of six and a 285-yard drive off the tee, it’s little wonder that golf is one of Trump’s main lines of business. With well over a dozen courses with his name, he’s sure to be welcome in the 19th hole at clubhouses around the world. Add in the fact that he is confident enough in his game to play with the best of them and you get a real sense of his inner competitive drive. Exactly what you would expect from a guy who has managed to reach the very top in several totally different fields: real estate, media, and now, politics!
Trump was banished to military school
When a 13-year-old Trump started acting up and kicking off at school, many thought he would get nothing more than a slap on the wrist. After all, the Trump family were multi-millionaires long before Donald made them billionaires, so wasn’t the heir to the empire expected to play up from time to time? Not a chance! He was shipped off to military school faster than he could blink and told to buck up his ideas. That he did, and it’s safe to say that the rest was history.
Trump ordered King Charles a Domino’s Pizza!
During his first state visit to the UK, President Trump met with King Charles (then Prince Charles the Prince of Wales) and had dinner with him. At his behest, and to the amusement of the royal courtiers, Trump reached for his phone and ordered a huge round of pizza for everyone. When a parade of blacked-out SUVs made their way to Clarence House, no one was left in any doubt about what was inside. Unfortunately, the royals never comment on such matters and prefer discretion, so we’ll never know which dip Charles used for his crusts!
Trump doesn’t drink water
Trump’s long-time friend and political ally, Dana White, always makes sure Trump has octagon-side seats when he comes to watch the UFC. Asked about Trump’s in-fight snacking habits, White stated that Trump chiefly survives the evening on three things: BigMacs, chocolate bars, and cans of ice-cold diet coke. When offered a bottle of water Trump always declines, simply raising his hand for someone to bring him a can of the good stuff. With all that sugar and caffeine being pumped into him, it’s little wonder that he only sleeps four hours a night and is working harder than ever as he approaches his eightieth birthday.
