Job Opportunity for GEWEP III

Background

AEE Rwanda is a local Christian NGO established in 1987 and works with communities to promote socio-economic empowerment. AEE received funding from CARE International Rwanda to implement GEWEP III project in 8 districts of Southern province. The goal of GEWEP III is to empower and promote the rights of poor and vulnerable women and girls in Southern Province economically, politically, and socially.

(1) Field Officers 

Purpose

In consultation with the Field Supervisor, the field officer will oversee the implementation of the project’s activities in the assigned districts. S/He will be responsible for mobilizing the community, building the capacity of adolescents and their communities in sexual reproductive health and rights, and promoting increased access to SRH services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Rural Development, Development Studies, Gender, Political Science, Social Science, or any related discipline.
• At least 3 years’ field experience in sexual reproductive health and rights, gender equality and women’s’ empowerment, and capacity building using participatory approaches.
• Knowledge in project cycle management.
• Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and e-communication.
• Possession of a motorcycle driving license.
