Young Peacebuilders (YP) Does
Young Peacebuilders (YP) Does
YP
develops partnerships, research, projects and tools that nurture peacebuilding
passion and skill in children and youth in contexts impacted by armed conflict.
In this way YP helps prevent and end cycles of violence. We also help design
effective child and youth peacebuilding projects and research for others. We
want to see a major shift in the dominant method of addressing contemporary
conflicts toward investing in young people as peacebuilders.

Responsibilities
- Develop,
manage, and regularly update YP website to create a youth friendly and
engaging platform. Connect with YP Advisory Team to gain ongoing feedback.
- Help
implement, and monitor YP communications strategy; manage others
supporting strategy
- Produce
Newsletter every 3 months; coordinate content development, edit, and
increase list size
- Expand
YP social media reach and influence including: Twitter, Facebook,
LinkedIn, website
- Assist
with following up with and thanking donors
- Help
produce and/edit other YP communications tools and proposals
- Find
best child/youth peacebuilding related articles, research, events, example
projects to share
- Assisting
with communications; responding to inquiries & prioritizing responses

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Extremely

written and verbal communication
- Some
social media experience
- Some
web development experience
- Learner
with ability to work remotely
- Attention
to detail and Problem solver
- Disciplined
independent worker
- Technologically
savvy with significant computer experience (e.g. word, excel, email
programs)

basic graphic design skills
- Ability
to manage others remotely
