Starting Rate: $12.90/hour
Reports to: Director, Programs and Outdoor Education
Nature & Scope:
The YMCA has a camping or outdoor education program suited to meet
their needs and expectations. YMCA Camping and Outdoor Education
programs offer the highest quality programs for children and youth
through a variety of safe and fun activities supervised by qualified
and energetic staff. All our camping and outdoor education programs
promote personal growth and development with a focus on the YMCA core
values of respect, responsibility, inclusiveness, caring, honesty, and
health.
Assistant Outdoor Educators provide direct program delivery in all
areas of the campus, including leadership and team building activities
for groups of all ages. In addition, Assistant Outdoor Educators
assist the Director of Programs and Outdoor Education with the
development of new programs, as well as the revision and updating of
existing programs.
