Role

VSO Rwanda is looking to recruit 140 Rwandan National Volunteers to work on a
multi-year nationwide education programme. The first group of 28 started in
September 2017. Open to graduates from education or other relevant field of study
and experience, successful candidates will receive a living allowance to meet
your basic needs. This opportunity will empower you to drive your career

enabling young children to gain the skills they need to succeed in school and
support Rwanda in reaching its ambitious education development goals. In making
your contribution you will have the opportunity to develop important knowledge
and skills which will be transferable to any professional occupation. You will
gain valuable experience in planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation
and review processes whilst starting to master the vital relationship-building
skills you need to succeed in your career.

you to identify your new knowledge, skills and achievements and towards the end
of your placement, we will support you in assembling this information into an

may have work experience or may be a fresh graduate. What we need are motivated
and dynamic men and women who can work professionally and fulfill your

a VSO volunteer, you will make a difference to the lives of young children in
Rwanda and build your career! You need to commit yourself to work with several
primary schools at the sector level. You will work with education officials,
Head Teachers, Teachers, School Committees, parents and local leaders.

qualifications and experience required
Suitable
candidates;
1) A Rwandan with relevant bachelors or masters’ degree;
2) A good level of spoken and written English and Kinyarwanda;
3) Self-starting and initiative-taking capability and good interpersonal
skills;
4) A commitment to work for at least one (1) year to maximize your learning;
5) Successful candidates will be given a 1 year renewable volunteer contract.
