You
will work with an international volunteer advisor and project staff to delivery
aspects of an intervention for the provision of eye-glasses to primary school
children to improve their learning. With support from the international
volunteer advisor you will lead on organising and delivering training sessions
of teachers and health care providers and awareness-raising of key stakeholders,
including parents. You will follow up on training at the school and community
level to provide further assistance and to monitor progress as well as maintain
engagement with key officials and leaders at school/community, sector and
district level. You will also support the implementation of research into the
provision of eye-glasses and its impact Skills, qualifications and experience
required

Essential
- Have
a bachelor degree in nursing, or health related subject, education or
Diploma in public health and must be Rwandan - Good
command of English and Kinyarwanda - Excellent
communication skills - Experience
of working in health and/or education interventions at the school or
community level - Desirable
- Experience
of delivering training - Experience
of engagement with leaders and officials at school or community level and
at sector and district levels - Experience
of implementing awareness-raising activities - Knowledge
of inclusive services - Research
