Role overview
The government acknowledges that there are significant gaps in AYSRHR
provision. The aim is to improve SRH knowledge, skills & attitudes by
increasing the availability of & access to information about AYSRH&R,
& provide opportunities to build skills of adolescents & young adults
at school & out-of-school. The role of the NV will be to meet and consult
young people/adolescents to find out more about out of school clubs/youth
clubs/youth corners and their involvement in these groups i.e. to find out how
these are working in practice. The purpose is to gain a deeper understanding
and more comprehensive information of how and where young people/adolescents are
engaging in SRH in 2 – 3 districts

Skills,
qualifications and experience required
•    Understand how out of school clubs/youth clubs/youth
corners engage young people/adolescents in AYSRHR.
•    Understand how young people/adolescents are engaged and what
their contributions are
•    Explore adolescent/young people’s understanding of
engagement in AYSRHR education including: their level of interest; how they
would like to be engaged and by whom; using which methods; how to be
inclusive
•    Find out what improvements, if any, the involvement of
young people/adolescents has made to SRH services and information
•    Find out where the gaps are and how young
people/adolescents could be involved in developing quality AYSRHR service and
information including gender equity and PWD/PLWHIV
•    Liaise with the International Volunteer who will be working
simultaneously on a short term assignment to find out more about the AYSRHR
service provision specifically how this can be improved and how young
people/adolescents can better understand and access these services and their
entitlement to AYSRH information 

Outputs:
•    Short report (4-6 pages) on how young people/adolescents
are engaging with AYSRH service delivery at the community level in 2 districts
including benefits, changes in service provision and other positive or negative
outcomes
•    Presenting findings to VSOR personnel on key outputs to
date on the engagement of young people/adolescent engagement in AYSRHR
including strengths, weaknesses and opportunities to strengthen their
engagement
