Branch 
Leader
VFR
would like to recruit competent and experienced BranchLeader to work in one of
our branches in Kigali.
Education/Experience:
  • University
    degree in economics, accounting, business administration;
  • Minimum
    5years experience in banking industry on a senior level.
Special
/ Personal Abilities:
  • Determined
    personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and
    manage a team
  • Capability
    and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of
    reliability and correctness
  • Good
    knowledge on economic and financial topics and sufficient experience in
    the operational business of VFR.
  • Be
    a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach
  • Very
    good communication skills
  • Familiar
    with Microsoft applications
  • Excellent
    marketing skills.
Responsibility:
  • Ensures
    an efficient performance of the branch
  • Exchanges
    information with the Operations, Marketing and Credit, Operations Managers
    and other branches, and ensures an adequate information flow within the
    branch.
  • Markets
    the products and services of VFR.
Main
tasks:
  • Coordinates
    and controls the operations of the assigned zone.
  • Implements
    policies, procedures and internal controls at the credit offices
  • Develops
    the branch business plan/budgets and annual work plans and seeks approval
    from the Finance/Senior Operations Manager and CEO on the projected
    targets and required resources;
  • Ensures
    that the targets agreed with the management are reached;
  • Plans
    and controls the liquidity of the branch;
  • Decides
    on all operational issues within the framework of existing regulations and
    management decisions;
  • Chairs
    the Branch Credit Committee (BCC) and participates in evaluating,
    approving, or rejecting loans according to the level of discretion;
  • Plans
    personnel capacity, selecting new staff and evaluating existing staff in
    accordance with management; Ensures that the branch staff maintain very
    high morale and adequate and updated training;
  • Plans
    and initiates promotional measures within the target markets of the
    branch;
  • “Champions”
    the deposit mobilization efforts within the branch’s area of coverage;
  • Performs
    independent balancing of all records;
  • Works
    with other management members of VFR;Attends monthly branch managers
    meetings, engages in team problem solving, works together on overlapping
    tasks, and provides back-up support to the other branches and head office
    as needed
