As our Video Journalist, you will:

Cover
daily news events
Pitch
original story ideas for APTN National News and Current Affairs
Shoot,
write and edit your own stories
Have
great time management
Work
independently
Demonstrate
strong communication skills
Thrive
under pressure to meet daily deadlines
Be
creative, professional, showcase original story ideas and have passion for
the industry!

You bring:

A
diploma or degree in a related discipline with proven News broadcast
experience
Hands
on experience with news line-up script software, Sony broadcast HD cameras
and various AVID editing platforms
A
sensitivity and understanding of culture and issues relevant to Aboriginal
communities in Quebec
Strong
computer skills and knowledge of broadcast technology
A
valid driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract-since you’ll be
travelling to obtain your exciting stories
A
working knowledge of French will be an asset
