As our Video Journalist, you will:
- Cover
daily news events - Pitch
original story ideas for APTN National News and Current Affairs - Shoot,
write and edit your own stories - Have
great time management - Work
independently - Demonstrate
strong communication skills - Thrive
under pressure to meet daily deadlines - Be
creative, professional, showcase original story ideas and have passion for
the industry!
You bring:
- A
diploma or degree in a related discipline with proven News broadcast
experience - Hands
on experience with news line-up script software, Sony broadcast HD cameras
and various AVID editing platforms - A
sensitivity and understanding of culture and issues relevant to Aboriginal
communities in Quebec - Strong
computer skills and knowledge of broadcast technology - A
valid driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract-since you’ll be
travelling to obtain your exciting stories - A
working knowledge of French will be an asset
