VanDusen Botanical Garden’s front-of-house team is expanding!
VanDusen Botanical Garden is a 55-acre garden set in the heart of the city of
Vancouver. The Garden, along with the Bloedel Conservatory, is jointly operated
by the City of Vancouver Park Board and the VanDusen Botanical Garden
Association (VBGA).
The VBGA is seeking two outgoing, customer-service oriented, tech-savvy
individuals to join our Member Services team. We are looking to fill one
weekend position (minimum of 4 hours/week) and one weekday position (minimum of
8 hours/week).
Reporting to the Membership Manager, you will:
• Be the first point of contact for all visitors to the Garden—providing
information, in person and over the phone, about the variety of programs and
services we offer.
• Manage our member database, ensuring member information is entered and
updated correctly; creating photo membership cards; tracking guest admissions;
confirming membership validity, among other member-related responsibilities.
• Process payments for memberships and VBGA programs in an efficient, accurate,
and friendly manner.

What we require:
• Someone who can work a minimum of 4-8 hours each week
• Someone who works well independently, as well as part of a multi-generational
team
• A high school diploma, with some post-secondary education preferred
• 2-5 years of customer service experience at a cultural attraction, in retail,
or other similar work
• Fluency in English. Additional fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese or French
preferred.
