RISK ANALYST
Reports to the Risk Manager
Applicants must have
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field from a recognised university
• At least part III of a relevant professional qualification e.g. CIA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
• A minimum of 2(two) years’ experience in risk analysis in a large organisation
• Membership to a relevant professional body e.g. IIA, ICPAU or equivalent
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identifying risks i.e. potential threats to the achievement of objectives
• Assessing risks, including their impact and likelihood of occurring and developing a risk matrix.
• Documenting risks and managing multiple and cross enterprise risks
• Undertaking response and other control activities by responding to and reporting on opportunities and threats that affect the achievement of objectives
• Recommending and participating in the implementation of appropriate controls to mitigate risk
• Communicating information on risks consistently to the Risk Manager by submitting reports on a timely basis.
• Examining, evaluating, reporting and recommending improvements on the adequacy and effectiveness of management’s risk processes
• Promoting company-wide risk awareness
• Carrying out adhoc assignments as directed by the Risk Manager
