Quality Improvement Advisor – Rwanda

URC is
currently seeking candidates for a USAID health systems strengthening and
quality improvement program in Rwanda. This five-year project will provide to
support the Government of Rwanda by implementing an integrated health system
strengthening program that provides sustainable,  high quality,
high-impact and client-oriented health services.

The
Senior QI Advisor will be responsible for supporting the QI Director in
guiding and mentoring the QI team and other project staff in supporting health
and civil society institutions in Rwanda to scale-up quality improvement
strategies. 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ensuring smooth running of
    multiple continuous quality improvement efforts through capacity building
    and coordinated implementation of modern quality improvement initiatives
    for better health outcomes in Rwanda.
  • Document QI efforts and develop QI tools as
    necessary
  • Provide strategic and advisory support to
    QI teams and coaches at the province level. 
  • Coordinate efforts of district-level QI
    advisors to ensure uniform implementation of QI initiatives
  • Assist with the design and oversight of
    learning sessions to facilitate the scale up of improvements.
  • Guide initiation and implementation of the
    Collaborative improvement effort nationwide.
Minimum
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in international public
    health, international development, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience implementing
    and/or managing QA/QI activities
  •  Experience with Collaborative model
    or other proven QA/QI approaches and point of service delivery mentoring.
  • Experience in advising, training and
    mentoring of the improvement efforts including building a cadre of
    Improvement coaches.
