Job Summary
The Faculty of
Design, Architecture & Building at UTS has an exciting opportunity for an
experienced Executive Assistant to provide executive support within the Dean’s
Unit.
Through research,
education and engagement with the professions, the Faculty of Design,
Architecture and Building aims to contribute to the transformation of urban
life and the built environment. With an annual enrolment of over 2,300
full-time students, our engagement extends across areas such as fashion, spatial
design, product design, visual communications, animation, photography situated
media, architecture, property development, construction and project
management. The Faculty is recognised internationally for its leadership
in these disciplines.
The Executive
Assistant will contribute to the smooth operation of the Dean’s Unit and is
part of a team supporting a group of executives.
The Executive
Assistant has four core responsibilities with a number of deliverables under
each:
- Executive
Support – including drafting communications for senior executives, diary
management and email management for specified executives, meeting
coordination services and general administrative support to the senior
executives in the Dean’s Unit. - Secretariat
Support – including preparation of draft agendas, preparation of Board
papers, minute-taking and follow-up action. - Event
Coordination – including conferences, exhibitions and functions,
supervision of junior or casual staff assisting in event delivery and
assisting at events. - Project
Coordination – coordinating a range of projects including visiting
speakers and liaising with industry; providing project support including
collating, analysing and summarising data and information.
Main
skills/experience required:
- Experience
in the provision of high-level executive assistance. - Project
and event coordination experience. - Demonstrated
experience in provision of secretarial and committee services. - Highly
developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. - Organisational,
time management and planning skills. - High
level of competence in information technology, including MS Office
software suite, database management and the student system software suite

Remuneration
Salary
Range: $62,142 to $71,091 pa
The university
offers 17%
employer provided superannuation and salary packaging opportunities. This
appointment will be on a Continuing
Full Time basis.
