A leading international transport and logistics Company is
looking for a Customs Risks Manager.
Based in Kigali and reporting to the Director Logistics
Solutions, the successful candidate’s main role will be to Assess and Follow
Customs Bond and advise the company management on all customs issues.
Key responsibilities:

Advise the General Management on Customs clearance
issues and trends

Handle all customs bond issues and follow up on
bond cancellation and regularizations with Customs.

Advise the Operations teams on Customs régimes
applicable to goods handled by the Company

Support the Commercial team on responding to
client’s queries regarding import duties and taxes applicable to goods to be
imported

Support the company and clients on tax exemption
regimes and approvals with Customs and other Government bodies involved in tax
exemption procedures

Advise clients on disputes/queries related to
customs valuation and customs position codes

Handle and follow up on all Statements of offense
raised by Customs to the company and to clients

Handling and monitoring of ail disputes with
Customs and update the management on the resolutions

Anticipate developments in new customs regulations

Qualifications, attributes & skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Economies, Management or
related fields

Proven strong experience and relevant trainings in
Customs law and customs practice in Rwanda
