Reporting
to the National Director, the Signage Manager oversees the implementation of
Trans Canada Trail’s corporate signage strategy to the organization’s 25th
anniversary in 2017 including the following:

anniversary in 2017 including the following:
- Development
of a complete sign system, including multiple signage pilot projects; - Production
and implementation of signage program across the country post pilots; - Development
of a set of digital modules for web and mobile applications; - Design
and re-skinning of TCT structures across the country; and - Development
of a national interpretive plan framework.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Oversee
the management of TCT’s signage program; - Establish
locations where signage by 2017 is essential; - Develop
design briefs, ensuring that signs reflect the TCT brand and will enhance
users’ experience; - Manager
the inventory of signage assets ensuring signs are available as required; - Ensure
way-finding signage, either physical or digital, is in place for all
sections of Trail by 2017; - Advocate
for the placement of signs with high-level key decision makers including
government partners & other organizations; - Periodically
inspect trail signage projects; - Contribute
to the development of digital signage; - Consult
with provincial and territorial trail groups; - Manage
a team of regional signage officers; - Oversee
various design, application development and planning contractors; and - In
consultation with the National Director of Trail, develop budgets and
schedules.

Qualifications:
- A
minimum of 5 years’ overseeing signage programs including digital signage; - Experience
working with content management systems; - Strong
project management skills & experience; - Community
engagement skills & experience; - Knowledge
of federal and provincial transportation codes is an asset; - Must
be available to travel extensively.
