Are you looking for a memorable experience in Africa, TASAAGA a non-profit
organization based in Uganda provides volunteer experiences to travellers from
all countries to teach English at the organization’s orphanage school. Our
orphanage school has children from 4 to 15 years of age. These children will
give you a wonderful experience if you are willing to donate your time and
skills to them here in Uganda. In Uganda English is the first foreign language
tought in all scho
ols and it is the official language for
communication.Therefore, helping the children at TASAAGA’s orphanage to learn
English will be a great contribution in their lives.

To volunteer at TASAAGA’s orphanage school you do not need to have previous
experience in English but you must be able to speak and write in English.
Because TASAAGA is an organization with limited funds, a volunteer to our
projects you will be also required to pay a small volunteer fee of 1000 US
dollars per month. This fee helps the organization to sustain the orphanage
school such as feeding the children, buying books, pens, pencils, toys,
clothes, games, and sports materials, paying the salaries of fulltime local
employees to the orphanage. The volunteers to our projects are given free
accommodation and three meals at our the organization house and some are given
home stays with a local family.

The orphanage school is located in the northern part of Kampala in the
village called Sitabaale where volunteers stay from Monday to Friday. In this
village there is electricity and internet connection. Saturday and Sunday
volunteers stay in Entebbe near Lake Victoria where they can access the nice
beaches.
