Terra Verde Homestead is a 10-acre organic mixed farm located 20 km
east of Mount Forest in Wellington County. We have a 1.5 acre market
garden, fruit and nut trees, bee

s, and pastured chickens, ducks,
sheep, goats, and a llama. Most of our produce and farm products are
sold through our 60-member CSA and at a local farmers’ market. This is
our third season and we are looking for two interns who are interested
in learning alongside us as we develop and expand our operations.
Future plans that we will be working on throughout the 2015 season
include: addition of Kune Kune pigs and turkeys, building of heated
greenhouse, nut and fruit orchard development, and perennial herb and
flower gardens.

volunteer commitment

to Orangeville

What You Offer:

• Previous experience and/or education in agriculture, environmental
sustainability, tree planting, or gardening would be an asset but is
not required
• Willingness to work long, physical hours in all weather conditions
• Creativity, perseverance, and flexibility
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

We are hiring two positions: a full-season intern and a summer intern.
The full-season internship would start April 27th, 2015 and continue
until October 30th, 2015. The summer internship would start April
27th, 2015 and end August 28th, 2015.

You would be required to work Monday – Friday, approximately 8am –
5pm. Occasional weekends may be required for special events with time
off in lieu. We provide 1 week of holidays and sick time as needed.
