The Client
Our client is a US listed multibillion MNC with footprints in over 300 countries and a history of over 150 years. Due to an internal rotation of the current incumbent into the Finance team, they are now looking to recruit a Senior Internal Auditor to manage the audit activities around Asia Pacific and Middle East.
The Role
You will report to the Audit Director in US and work along side with the Internal Audit Manager based in Singapore. You will be responsible for assisting and conducting internal audits of worldwide facilities with emphasis placed on reviewing and evaluating financial and operational controls and related procedures. You will be responsible for the followings:
• To provide value added consultative services, which include identifying opportunities to improve financial and operational processes that will enhance overall plant performance and profitability
• To plan, organize, execute and conclude on the internal audits including the preparation of an audit plan and audit report which fulfils the responsibility of the department, scheduling and assigning work and estimating resource needs
• To make recommendations on the systems and procedures being reviewed, report on the findings and recommendations and monitor management’s response and implementation
• To review and report on the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of the financial and other information that is provided for management
• To work with management to ensure a system is in place which ensures that all major risks are identified and analyzed on an annual basis
• To provide both management and the internal audit department with an opinion on the internal controls in place within the organization
The Person
To be successful in this position, you should have a CPA or a recognized accountancy degree with over 3 years of working experience. Candidates from Big 4 with prior experience in auditing the Oil and Gas industry or heavy manufacturing with strong knowledge in US GAAP are also invited to apply. This role requires around 40 to 50 percent of travel. My client has a strong believe in rotating their staff for career growth, thus there are high changes of moving into an Operational or Finance role within the business.
