SUPERINTENDENT, BUS FLEET MAINTENANCE
$76,775 – $96,435 per annum
Location: Streetsville Garage, 6190 Mississauga Road, Mississauga, Ontario
Qualifications: Completion of a community college diploma in mechanical engineering technology or any combination of training, education and experience deemed equivalent.
Minimum of six years of experience in transit vehicle maintenance involving strong knowledge of, or direct experience working with:
. Preventative maintenance theory and practice;
. Supervising unionized staff and interpreting Collective Agreements;
. Formulating and monitoring budgets and production schedules;
. MTO Vehicle Inspection Standards and vehicle technical specification and repair standards;
. The Health and Safety Act;
. Computer applications such as spreadsheets and vehicle maintenance databases;
. Excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills.
Must have at least a valid Class ‘G’ driver’s licence and must meet the corporate standard for a good driving record. Must be able to obtain the GO Transit Operator’s Permit and complete mandatory training as identified in the corporate Training Matrix. A valid 310T – Truck and Coach Certification would be an asset.
