STUDENT DRIVEN SOLUTION is seeking a Director for
our programs.

ABOUT STUDENT DRIVEN SOLUTIONS:

Founded in 2014, we are an innovative and entrepreneurial
organization. We are constantly changing and adapting and we need a motivated
and creative individuals to run our team on the ground thr

oughout Malawi.
We provide financial literacy and business education to girls in
secondary school and school dropouts in Malawi. We support students to work in
teams to design community development projects using the skills they learn
throughout our course. Students will work with mentors from the community and
trained teachers to learn important skills in business and advocacy. Our
mission is to provide Malawi’s secondary students with the skills and
confidence necessary to address challenges in their community through an
integrated business and advocacy curriculum. We expect our students to be
leaders! We currently work at a school in Zomba and are
expanding to two additional schools in Lilongwe this September. For more

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:

The Director is a one-year, contract position starting in
September 2015, with the primary responsibility of overseeing operations at our
three project schools. He/She will have significant opportunity to
build the organization and develop our program. He/She will be
committed to our mission and have a creative entrepreneurial attitude to bring
to the work we do at Student Driven Solutions. He/She will possess a
demonstrated passion and commitment to youth leadership, entrepreneurship,
impact evaluation, transparency, and accountability. The Director will
report directly to the Founder of Student Driven Solutions.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Responsible for strong financial oversight and management
of budgets

• Develop and manage our small staff and staff at
our partner schools

• Represent the organization in public arenas, including
local and national media

• Establish and maintain close working relationships with
Development Partners, and collaborate with them to further the mission of
Student Driven Solutions

• Coordinate with small staff and school partners to plan
logistics and oversee program implementation at our partner schools

• Oversee monitoring and evaluation with a focus on metrics
and impact evaluation strategies

• Possess an entrepreneurial attitude towards problem-solving
and creating new ways to further the Student Driven Solutions’ mission

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree and at least 3-5 years of
management experience

• Broad financial skills, including experience with
budgeting, planning and accounting

• Experience conducting monitoring and evaluation and
impact evaluations is a plus

• Excellent speaking and writing skills are required;
computer skills are required

• A hands-on management style and the ability to address
and solve problems as they arise

• Fluency in English and Chichewa required

• A passion for leadership
development, education, and entrepreneurship
