to international aid. Spark proactively reaches out to rural poor villages and
helps community members to design, implement, and manage their own social
impact projects. Since July 2010, we
have mobilized 71 communities in Rwanda and Uganda to manage social impact
projects including schools, community farms, electricity lines, and more.

Job Description: Spark MicroGrants
is seeking a Facilitator Fellow to join the team in Rwanda. Spark Facilitators
work hand in hand with vulnerable communities in order to support them in
becoming their own agents of change. Through a series of weekly meetings,
Facilitators build the community’s capacity in various fields, which include project
planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, women empowerment and
leadership. Facilitators work with a few communities simultaneously and also
devote time to following-up with communities who have already implemented.

– Make the initial contact with the
communities that we work with – Represent Spark in local administration where
our communities belong – Take the communities into the process according to the
Spark guidelines – Develop necessary materials and programs to improve the
Spark process – Supervise and evaluate the projects implementation

Qualifications:
– University degree
– Fluency in English and

Experience in the community development field and/or in NGO work is highly
preferred – Ability to work closely in a team and at the same time work
independently – Strong desire to build support for locally-led development –
Ability to work in rural and remote areas and take motos and public transport
regularly – A very positive attitude is a must!

Timing & Offer:
Applications are open until
November 24. Interviews will be conducted at the end of November and the
beginning of December. The Facilitator Fellow will begin work in January. The
Facilitator Fellow is expected to live in Musanze, Rwanda. Accepted
Facilitators will receive a stipend and sign a three-month contract. If
work-performance targets are met, a one-year contract will be signed.
