Oil Refining (SOR) is a rapidly growing company based in Wagga Wagga, NSW. The
company operates two oil re-refineries providing a cradle-to-cradle recycling
solution for used lubricating oil generated within Australia.

for an operations supervisor at the NSW plant.
Reporting
to the Refinery Manager, you will manage day-to day operations and oversee a
team of 16 operations staff. Furthermore, you will provide technical
expertise and innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.

Key
responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Preparation
of daily reports on production results, analysis of these results and
constant plant optimisation to maximise yield of higher value products - Provide
leadership, knowledge and mentoring to operations staff - Stock
management including scheduling of movements, preparation of production
forecasts and ordering of process chemicals - Updating
of standard operating procedures and work instructions - Engineering
design and management of small to medium scale projects with budgets and
deadlines
The
ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

- Bachelor
degree in chemical engineering with 2-5 years of industry experience - Enthusiasm,
focus and willingness to “roll up the sleeves” when required - Excellent
written and verbal communication skills - Excellent
interpersonal skills, management experience will be looked upon favourably - Experience
in a 24 hr manufacturing environment, ideally in the petrochemicals sector
