CA Global: Soap Processing and Operations (Africa / International Positions) has a client that is in need of a Soap Production Manager (Mechanical / Production / Body Care/ Machines). The position will be based in Malawi.
(1) Position available for the advert post. Due to rapid growth, our client is looking to retain a hands on professional to manage its Soap Factory operations.
Duties:
Report to the Head of Operations (Marketing and Sales)
Ensure quality of the raw materials and finished goods
Run an efficient production line responsive to market demand
Ensure all machinery are working satisfactorily and minimize downtime
Develop new lines as and when required
Ensure company remains competitive and a market leader
Review system development and maintenance to ensure effective internal control procedures
Implement and manage performance measurement tools/ systems
Implement HRM process and procedures
Implement training programmes
Manage the staff in your department
Liaising with relevant Government and statutory bodies in conjunction with Company’s manufactured products
Requirements:
Qualified with an Chemistry/ Science background essential
Engineering background desirable
5-10 years working experience in a soap factory
Skills aptitude:
Experience in managing changes within organizations
Strong strategic and commercial skills
Computer Literate
