The haunting call of the Raven and the Eagle soaring above has
attracted people from all over the world. The Regional District
continues a successful collaboration which includes resource
extraction, LNG and commercial fishing in a setting of First Nations
culture and the biodiversity of wilderness parks that are famous
around the world.
The Regional Administration office is located in Prince Rupert, BC, a
full service City located south of the Alaska Panhandle. Prince Rupert
has a wide array of services including medical, education and
recreation both indoor and outdoor.
Details of the position: The Skeena-Queen Charlotte Regional District
is seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Treasurer.
Completion of a relevant accounting degree supplemented by courses in
municipal administration is desirable but an equivalent combination of
education and experience will be considered. A strong interest in the
area will be a requirement. An ability to work under minimal
supervision as well as excellent interpersonal, presentation, time
management and organization skills are essential.
The Treasurer will provide operational support to the Regional
District’s CAO with primary responsibilities in the area of finance
including budgets, expenditure control, reports, and financial
statements. However, the specific role and responsibilities of this
position will be refined with consideration of the skills, knowledge
and the abilities of the successful candidate.
